In my past few posts I've mentioned the fact that there are currently 8 dogs in our house. They will be with us until Monday. I shall take this opportunity to introduce you to them now. Be prepared. massive cuteness lies ahead.
Bailey is the oldest. He is Alpha Male, all the way. Despite having no eyes, and despite being a pipsqueaky Pekinese. Make no mistake, this ball of fur looks harmless, but he will bite (more accurately, gum) your hands off.
Haley is the matriarch. She is a sweet Rhodesian Ridgeback, getting up there in years, and she smiles when she greets you. Her bones ache in her old age, so she spends a lot of time sleeping. Like this.
Jester is the neurotic greyhound. He will steal toys (and other soft things) and bury them in various places in the yard. We call him the weasel, because he is very weasel-y and sneaky. After he was rescued, it took him no time to adapt to 'domestic' life!
Pebbles is the snorting, grunting, rumbling, porky pug. She is so fat and lovey, you just want to smoosh her. And she loves it. Here she is in full cuddle splendor with The Sadist. Which is what the Kiwi calls Sadie, the loudmouth Maltese.
And finally, is it a cow? On our loveseat in the bedroom? How is it possible? Wait - cows don't have little pointy ears like that....hmm. Oh! It must be Zorro! He is a loveable mutt who will find any place possible to snuggle. And watch it when you get eye level. He LOVES to kiss!
And of course, Dude and Levi are cuddled as close to mommy and daddy as they can get. Squeevehead has curled himself into an almost unbelieveable size considering his chubby self and is snoozing with the Kiwi.
Life is good when you're surrounded by so much love! (Not so good when they're gassy, though.)
