In a bit over an hour I'll be leaving to pick up the Kiwi at the airport. Yippeeeeeee! The boys and I have missed him tons. It was a very difficult trip for him, but he seems to have a sense of peace for being able to spend a good amount of time with his dad.
We have had quite a bit of goings on in the few weeks he's been gone, including some new additions to our extended family! Friends (real and imagined), meet Dozer and Daisy!
They are bulldogs, the newest babies at Dad's house. They're so cute! Of course, they're puppies. All puppies are cute, right? Does anyone else out there adore puppy breath, or am I alone (along with Dad) in that strangeness?
Dozer is the big boy (look at those paws!) and Daisy is the "perky" little girl. Perky is relative. They are bulldogs, after all.
The horses at Dad's experienced their first taste of meadow grass, and they thoroughly enjoyed it. I love this picture - something about horses in flight exhilarates, inspires, and lifts the spirits. It has been a few years since I've had a horse of my own, but it's a love that never lets go once it takes hold of your heart.
Pretty obvious, eh? Tell me they're not smiling!
