I work with some of the niftiest people. One of them happens to love all things fiber and has been attending Rhinebeck for longer than I've known about it. She bought Madelyn the sweetest boots - and proved that I do not actually need to attend in order to reap the benefits of the festival! She also let me pet some of her newly acquired wool/angora blend. I feel much better about not going now. :) Check these boots out - I can stuff some toasty roving in the toes for this winter, and they will grow with her when she starts filling them out next year! I can't wait to see them on her. Dude of course had to give them the sniff of approval.
We're still here, and she's still there - in the huge balloon that is my belly. We've got a few weeks left - and time is flying! We're almost completely finished in the nursery. The only thing left to do is put up these wallies.
D put up the curtains and they look great in the room. I've got to put the mattress pad under the crib sheet (important thing to do, I'm told!) and other than that, she can make her appearance any time.
It made me smile that day - autumn is my favorite season and this is just one of the many reasons why. Such a juxtaposition of birth and hibernation......ok, I'll stop now.
And because this post is full of nothing, I figured I could add yet another gratuitous picture of the boys. This image is so representative - Levi spreads out sooooo big, and Dude curls up so small. When Levi gets into bed with us, it's like having a 300 pound person stealing all your room. Make that a grunting, snoring 300 pound person.
Yes, they're spoiled. I wouldn't have it any other way. :)
