Over the past 5 months or so, I have been working with a therapy called Resonance Repatterning. It's a system for rerouting our neural pathways, essentially. Unlike traditional talk therapy which allows us to travel that well worn 'groove' in our minds, Resonance Repatterning (RR) changes those 'grooves' and helps us turn the thought patterns that aren't working for us into thought patterns that do work for us. I have found the process so powerful and helpful that I am in the process of learning the therapy myself. It's not a skill picked up overnight! It requires a minimum of 120 hours of basic coursework and then a practicum which includes a minimum of 75 client hours. These are all minimums, and certification doesn't usually happen when minimums are met - one has to be proficient enough to 'do no harm' with this therapy.
Meryl over at Be Your Bliss is the only certified teacher on the East Coast. Thankfully she's in NYC, and that (for me) is driving distance. I have so far completed the first 2 courses of the 6 which make up the basic training. The experience has been amazing, and the skills I'm learning benefit myself and those around me. I've been fortunate enough to connect with a great skill-building group and we're seeing the benefits of the continual practice and application.
I encourage everyone to check RR out - it has helped me experience more health, joy, and positive thinking/relating....and it can do the same for you! I'll be posting more about it as this journey continues, but this will suffice as an intro for now. :)
